EnOcean is a wireless technology used in home automation that re-uses energy (for example from piezogenerators, solar cells, thermocouples, etc.) providing it’s own power source and with that making it maintenance-free and therefore doesn’t require batteries.
Products include wireless switches and sensors. Transmission distance is up to 300 meters.
